Product name CAS:1051366‑32‑5:Balixafortide
Description Balixafortide is a new‑generation highly selective CXCR4 receptor antagonist cyclic peptide. Side‑chain cyclization stabilizes the pharmacophore conformation, greatly improving receptor binding affinity and metabolic stability. It competitively binds to the chemokine receptor CXCR4, blocks the SDF‑1α/CXCR4 signaling axis, inhibits tumor cell chemotactic migration and invasion, and disrupts stem cell anchoring in the bone marrow stroma, exerting tumor metastasis inhibition and hematopoietic stem cell mobilization effects. It also blocks HIV entry via the CXCR4 co‑receptor. Applied in tumor metastasis research such as multiple myeloma and breast cancer, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation mobilization, and targeted peptide drug development.
Peptide purity (HPLC, %) 95%/98%/99%
Theoretical molecular weight (Da) ~1900 (subject to actual synthetic batch)
Structure type Side‑chain cyclized modified cyclic peptide, constructed with unnatural amino acids

Functional Description

Product Code Frontend Short Summary (for search list display) Detailed Biological Function Description Applicable Research Areas (comma-separated) Targets / Pathways
PEP-BAL001 Highly selective CXCR4 antagonist that blocks chemokine signaling, inhibits tumor metastasis and mobilizes hematopoietic stem cells Balixafortide mimics the binding conformation of endogenous chemokine SDF-1α, binds CXCR4 with high affinity and competitiveness, blocks activation of the SDF-1α/CXCR4 axis, and inhibits downstream pathways such as PI3K/Akt and MAPK, exerting multiple biological effects: blocks tumor cell chemotactic migration and invasion, inhibits metastasis and colonization; disrupts bone marrow stromal anchoring of hematopoietic stem cells to mobilize them into peripheral circulation; also blocks HIV entry via the CXCR4 co-receptor. Compared with first-generation CXCR4 antagonists, it has higher conformational stability, stronger receptor selectivity and longer in vivo half-life.
