Product name CAS:1809080‑14‑5:Relamorelin acetate
Description Relamorelin is a new‑generation highly selective growth hormone secretagogue receptor 1a (GHSR‑1a, i.e. Ghrelin receptor) agonist. Amino acid modifications significantly enhance enzymatic degradation resistance and in vivo half‑life. It specifically binds to GHSR‑1a receptors, promotes growth hormone (GH) secretion, while enhancing gastric motility and accelerating gastric emptying, and also has effects on appetite regulation and energy metabolism. Applied in mechanism research of diabetic gastroparesis, functional dyspepsia, growth hormone deficiency and other diseases, as well as gastrointestinal motility peptide drug development.
Peptide purity (HPLC, %) 95%/98%/99%
Theoretical molecular weight (Da) ~3300 (subject to actual synthetic batch)
Structure type Site‑modified Ghrelin analog, acetate salt

Functional Description

Product Code Frontend Short Summary (for search list display) Detailed Biological Function Description Applicable Research Areas (comma-separated) Targets / Pathways
PEP-REL002 Highly selective GHSR-1a agonist that promotes gastric motility, accelerates gastric emptying and induces growth hormone secretion Relamorelin binds to the G protein-coupled GHSR-1a receptor with high specificity and affinity, activates the downstream Gq/11-mediated PLC-IP3-Ca²⁺ signaling pathway, and exerts multiple biological effects: centrally, it acts on the pituitary to promote growth hormone synthesis and release; peripherally, it acts on gastrointestinal smooth muscle and the enteric nervous system, enhances antral contraction, coordinates gastroduodenal motility, accelerates gastric emptying, and improves gastroparesis symptoms. It can also act on the hypothalamic feeding center to regulate appetite and energy metabolism. Compared with native Ghrelin, its site modification avoids rapid enzymatic cleavage by DPP-IV, extending in vivo half-life by several folds with longer lasting effect. Diabetic gastroparesis, Functional dyspepsia, Growth hormone secretion research, Gastrointestinal motility disorders, Appetite & energy metabolism, Gastrointestinal peptide drugs Growth Hormone Secretagogue Receptor 1a (GHSR-1a); PLC-IP3-Ca²⁺ signaling pathway; Gastric motility regulation and growth hormone secretion pathway
