Product Code Appearance Long-term Storage Short-term Storage Solution Stability Solid Powder Stability
PEP-CKS17-01 White to off-white powder Store at -20°C or below, protected from light, dry and sealed; stable for 2-3 years Store at 2-8°C, protected from light and moisture, for 2-4 weeks Highly hydrophobic and poorly water-soluble; first dissolve in a small volume of anhydrous DMSO or DMF until clear, then dilute with water or buffer to working concentration. Prepare fresh; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles powder is stable but hygroscopic; equilibrate to room temperature in a desiccator before weighing, then keep sealed

Functional Description

Product Code Frontend Short Summary Detailed Biological Function Description Applicable Research Areas (comma-separated) Targets / Pathways
PEP-CKS17-01 A 17-mer immunosuppressive peptide derived from the retroviral transmembrane protein p15E; inhibits T-cell proliferation and cytokine production and induces cAMP, used in viral immune-evasion and immunomodulation research. CKS-17 is a highly conserved 17-amino-acid peptide (LQNRRGLDLLFLKEGGL) located within the transmembrane envelope protein p15E (TM) of murine leukemia virus (MLV) and related retroviruses such as HIV, originally identified by Cianciolo et al. in 1985. It exerts potent immunosuppressive activity, inhibiting T-lymphocyte proliferation, mixed lymphocyte reactions and IL-2/cytokine production, and elevates cAMP in vitro. It serves as a key molecular model of retroviral immune evasion and is widely used to study retrovirus-associated immunosuppression, tumor escape and immunomodulatory signaling, as a pharmacological tool peptide for the p15E/retroviral membrane immunosuppressive domain. Tumor immunology, retrovirology, viral immune evasion, immunomodulation, autoimmunity and inflammation research Conserved immunosuppressive domain of retroviral p15E transmembrane protein; T-cell proliferation/cytokine signaling; adenylate cyclase-cAMP pathway
