Functional Description

Product Code Frontend Short Summary Detailed Biological Function Description Applicable Research Areas (comma-separated) Targets / Pathways
PEP-VP7-01 Synthetic peptide of rotavirus group A (simian SA11 strain) outer capsid glycoprotein VP7 residues 31-40; an H-2Kb-restricted, serotype-specific immunodominant CD8+ CTL epitope for rotavirus cellular immunity and vaccine research This is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues 31-40 of VP7, the major outer capsid glycoprotein defining G serotypes of group A rotavirus (representative strain: simian SA11). It was mapped by synthetic peptides in SA11-infected C57BL/6 (H-2b) mice as an H-2Kb-restricted immunodominant CD8+/CTL epitope, located within the N-terminal first hydrophobic domain (H1) of VP7, and is serotype-specific (no cross-reactivity). It is a classical target epitope for rotavirus-specific cellular immunity studies, used for CTL epitope mapping, peptide-MHC binding and T cell recognition studies, and rotavirus vaccine / pathogenesis research (PMID 9152424; PMID 10329553). Viral immunology, Rotavirus infection, CD8+ T cell detection, CTL epitope mapping, Vaccine development H-2Kb (MHC-I presentation); T cell receptor (TCR)
